Goin' My Way 02:51
Goin' My Way ©2012 Greg Everett Verse: She was walkin down the street When I saw her pass by She was lookin' oh so sweet And she caught my eye She had me at first glance Wonder what she might say If I were to take a chance Could she be goin' my way? Chorus: Goin' my way - Yeah, goin' my way Could she be goin' my way...? If I were to take a chance Could she be goin' my way? Verse: I was watchin' every move Had to pause for awhile Like she was struttin' to a groove In her enchanted style I just got to take a chance To see what she might say 'Cause now I'm thinkin' romance If she's goin' my way? Chorus: Verse: I knew she was purely class By the clothes she wore Opportunity may pass I can't wait anymore I just got to take this chance To see what she might say 'Cause now I'm thinkin' romance If she's goin' my way? Chorus:

Times I Remember ©2012 Greg Everett Verse 1: Seems like only yesterday, 'round nineteen fifty five Big brother took me fishing and later taught me how to drive And navigate to see other points of view By asking, "how'd you like it, if someone did that to you?" Chorus: The times I remember (I can't relive again) Great times to remember (think of where I've been) The times I remember (over so many years) ........................................ Verse 2: The first time I lay next to her - etched in my mind But I walked away not knowin' - what I might have left behind I went out and played sweet music, and everything was right On a stage draped in passion - for everyone's delight Chorus: Verse 3: I raised a little girl now grown with a family of her own All we share between us, I will never be alone But if given the chance to go back in time And relive these precious mem'ries, you know I'll have to decline Chorus: They're only times I remember...

Durango 03:25
Durango ©2012 Greg Everett Verse: A three day beard and black hat, shoulder guns and chaps And a horse that’s built for ridin’ long and hard With the gold from Durango, on it’s way to Mexico And the outlaw, its self appointed guard But he’s in for the run of his life With the marshall right behind, and always in sight Chorus: He could’a rode on through Durango He took a wrong turn tonight He should’a rode on through Durango He picked the wrong man to fight Verse: White hat and white horse, and white pearl handled guns o’course And a reputation spreadin’ far and wide Well everybody’s heard, he’s the best, that’s the word He won’t give the outlaw any place to hide But he’s in for the run of his life With the outlaw makin’ ground, it’s hard to keep him in sight Chorus: Verse: Well he’s got his man so many times, but now he’s laid it on the line It’s been years since anyone has dared There’s a weight upon his shoulders, he can feel he’s gotten older His reputation may be more than he can bear But he’s in for the run of his life With the outlaw makin’ ground, it’s hard to keep him in sight Chorus: (He could’a rode on through Durango He took a wrong turn tonight) Yeah he’s in for the run of his life With the marshall right behind, and always in sight Chorus: (He could’a rode on through Durango He took a wrong turn tonight He should’a rode on through Durango Now someone’s got to pay with his life

Quicksand Chorus: I was drowning in quicksand until I fell in love with you I was sinking deeper and deeper and there was nothin' to hold on to And I know that I'd be a long gone man if you weren't there to pull me through 'Cause I was drowning in quicksand until I fell in love with you Verse: Now through all my troubles and all of my toils I never knew what happiness was 'Cause I'd hang around with all kinds of girls, that's what loneliness does And like a quicksand hole that grabbed onto my soul I made the same mistakes it's true 'Cause I was drowning in quicksand until I fell in love with you Chorus: Bridge: I was on the wrong road I missed all the signs I was stuck in a hole But then you threw me a line Verse: Well now the years gone by, I can look up in the sky and thank my lucky star Until you came along I had lived oh so wrong but that's all I knew so far And then you threw me a line and time after time I found it led me out of the blues 'Cause I was drowning in quicksand until I fell in love with you Chorus:

Winter Roses 02:55
Winter Roses ©2012 Greg Everett Verse Thorns in the frost, stiff in the wind Life is lost in the cold Accumulatin’ snows bury the rose And the souls of the young and the old Verse Winter’s a lifeless place in the mind Where nothing can grow or be free It lowers the pose of the proud summer rose And the lifeblood that everyone needs Chorus Wouldn’t it be a miracle if one day we could see A rose that would bloom in the snow Giving life and love all through the year Winter roses Verse I’ve seen what the cold and the winter can do To a rose that once was in bloom But life must go on, though the living is gone And the snow hides the rose in a tomb Chorus

Earthlings 03:34
Earthlings ©2012 Greg Everett Verse: To have been an earthly traveler, back in twenty ten To have seen the wild and felt beguiled by scenes that never end Remote lands untouched by man, where beasts still ran free And air so clean the sparkling skies, must've been somethin' to see Verse: There were trees and bees and scents to please from flowers everywhere There were crystal seas and the poles would freeze in the dark, icy air From polar bears to penguins and swooping cranes in flight From outer space, that deep blue haze must've been quite a sight Bridge: But it was all destroyed for money, all in the name of greed The ground is scorched, radiation torched and burned all future seed They tried to restore the forests, too late to supersede Lost for the sake of money, gone in the name of greed Chorus: So self-serving, undeserving, no reversing stupid Earthlings Self-serving, undeserving, no reversing stupid Earthlings Lead: Chorus: Verse: Shoulda given back, but all they did was take They were smart enough to love, but dumb enough to hate Pyramids they built all ended up the same They filled the till but their spiral drilled out the heart of their domain Chorus: Chorus:

Chorus: Doodle ooo doo doodle oodle ooo doo doodle oo doo doo doo Doodle ooo doo doodle oodle ooo doo doodle oo doo doo doo Verse: In the shadow was the spider, his web spread out beyond In the bushes on the shoreline just above the pond In the water down below him, a ripple in the light And a mayfly leaves the water to make her maiden flight Chorus: Verse: And it's brand new for the mayfly, the air beneath her wings But the spider thinks of delicacies nature often brings And the mayfly stopped so suddenly as if she'd struck a wall She couldn't seem to fly away, she didn't even fall Chorus: Bridge: And the spider leaped to let the mayfly know his fatal bite But the strand that held the mayfly broke away So the spider sees the mayfly fly on outa sight But he knows that's not the only one today 'Cause in the water down below him, a ripple in the light And a mayfly leaves the water to make her maiden flight Chorus: Lead: Bridge: Chorus:

Ain’t it the Truth Verse: I grew up trained in self-abuse Then I found out, that’s no excuse How ironic, now I’m amused Chorus: Ain’t it the truth Ain’t it the truth Verse: Nobody listened when I’d call So nobody knew when I’d fall And no one noticed when I could barely crawl Chorus: Bridge: Fessin’ up to all my fears I realized, I’m just a man My reflection brought to tears Ain’t it the truth, ain’t it the truth Verse: Right from the start, I’d lost the beat I followed the rhythm of my deceit Thought I was sum’um, found incomplete Chorus: Verse: I thought I fooled all, I sure fooled me I couldn’t see real in a world of debris Cleanse my heart, and set me free Chorus: To embrace the truth Ain’t it the truth Bridge: Chorus:

about

"Kaleido" mandala cover art: Greg Everett

Expect something different. After years of writing, composing, studio work, playing gigs, listening and learning, I've developed an eclectic style that's uniquely my own.

Psychoanalyst, Carl Jung viewed the Mandala as, "A representation of the unconscious self."

Eclecticity:
Throughout the years, an eclectic array of music genres and artists have influenced my style of composing, lyric writing, singing and playing. For me, those influences have become like the Mandala, "A representation of my unconscious self."

Durango won "Most likely to be a movie theme" award, and Prey for the Cat won "Best Jazz Guitar" award from a peer reviewing site.

Be sure to watch my video/slide shows on YouTube. They're fun visuals coinciding with my music.
